If you haven’t yet feasted your musical appetites on Emily Wells (her album ‘The Symphonies’ previously featured on Trendland here) here is a little taste of what makes this Texas talent so special. Her cover of the the Notorious B.I.G.’s Juicy is without a doubt a delicious interpretation of one of all-time great records in hip-hop and that my friends is not to be taken lightly. Emily has an incredible capacity for creating emotion filled symphonies using her diverse instrumental skills, starting from her violin, then following with a little glockenspiel jingle, adding some synthesizer for effect, maybe a pinch of toy piano, and to top it off a hard hitting beat that never fails to draw movement from a crowd. As for her live performance, the way she assembles her musical masterpieces, layer by layer, loop by loop, detail by detail, it’s brilliant showcase in production and she makes it look effortless. If you ever get the chance to catch her live act don’t miss it! For now, take a listen and enjoy! Listen to “Juicy (Notorious B.I.G. Cover)” here [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Buy Here © Sashko for TrendLand: Fashion Blog & Trend Magazine | Permalink | No comment |
