COLLECTIONS: MILAN WOMENSWEAR AW 2011
Having spent the past week bearing witness as London designers played it safe, crossing all t’s and dotting every i in their already established signatures, we turn our attention next to Milan's offerings for A/W 2011 Womenswear. SHOWstudio.com Fashion Director Alexander Fury has touched down in the Italian fashion capital to bring you comprehensive coverage via his exclusive Audio reports, inspired by Carmel Snow’s post-war radio reports  responsible for bringing the name Balenciaga to the United States and Dior’s New Look its iconic moniker. The first round of heavyweights, Gucci and Alberta Ferretti, hit the catwalks yesterday and NOWFASHION.com is once again providing unique real-time images to accompany our live reportage. There’s no rest for the wicked on this weekend’s whirlwind schedule so be sure to stay tuned to the SHOWstudio Facebook and Twitter pages for new coverage as Prada, Versace and Jil Sander are now just a stone’s throw away. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SERGIO ROSSI

Our latest film series profiles the Autumn/Winter 2011 Sergio Rossi women’s collection designed by Sergio Rossi Creative Director Francesco Russo. SHOWstudio.com Fashion Director Alexander Fury stands in as curatorial talking head, analysing the reasoning and inspiration behind ten pieces of footwear taken from Russo’s latest collection - a strikingly cross-cultural and glamorous adventure in contemporary footwear.

These ten filmic explorations of the Sergio Rossi Autumn/Winter 2011 collection are exclusively showcased online at SHOWstudio.com and premiered at the SERGIO ROSSI showroom in Milan on 24 February, 2011. [more]
COMING UP
IN FASHION: SUSANNA LAU
Susanna Lau, also known as Susie Bubble of blog Style Bubble, is the focus of the next installment of our In Fashion series set to launch this Friday 25 February on SHOWstudio.com.  Lau was, undoubtedly, a crucial figure in fashion's blog revolution; she was editor of Dazed Digital, the online presence of Dazed & Confused magazine, from 2008-2010 and is now focusing full-time on her blog and other freelance projects, contributing and collaborating with industry favorites.  This intimate video portrait shows Lau waxing lyrical about all things fashion during a rare slice of down time before she and SHOWstudio.com Fashion Director Alexander Fury were swept into the eye of A/W 2011, covering the Collections for SHOWstudio.com.

Our In Fashion interview with Susanna Lau will be launched this Friday 25 February 2011
FROM THE SHOP
SLEEP, 2001
An entire decade ago, SHOWstudio.com founder and internationally renowned fashion photographer Nick Knight, explored the notion of sleep within fashion in a groundbreaking project - appropriately enough, titled Sleep. The first ever live global fashion shoot comprised of nine super models dressed and groomed as they would be at a traditional catwalk show but instead of the runway, they fell straight into bed. SHOWstudio.com viewers logged in and observed the nocturnal dishevelment of slumber. Our current SHOWstudio Shop exhibition To Bed is exclusively showing eight film shorts taken from the Sleep web cam stills – all of which truly document each models’ unconscious fashion performances. IN CAMERA: LADY GAGA
Following the premier of her new single Born This Way, and with the Nick Knight-directed video due to premier on Monday 28 February, the time felt ripe to re-examine our exclusive and unedited one-on-one interview with the worldwide megastar that is Lady Gaga. In May 2010, Lady Gaga became the ninth participant in our In Camera interview series, answering questions submitted by friends, celebrities and fans worldwide in a unique live online interview. Watch the two-hour unedited interview footage here, or read through the transcript, typed real-time as the interview progressed, for a fascinating and often revelatory insight into this twenty-first century pop culture icon.
