MONSTER BALL
Today, 7 October 2011, SHOWstudio.com exclusively launches Monster Ball, a series of films created by Nick Knight and Ruth Hogben for Lady Gaga's epic 2009 Monster Ball world tour. Appearing originally on gigantic stadium-filling screens, building film into the architectonic feeling of the tour, Monster Ball explores notions of fame, iconicism and life in an evolving metropolis.

COLLECTIONS: PARIS FASHION WEEK S/S 2012
Spring has sprung - our final show is fini, and so are the Paris collections and indeed the entire Spring/Summer 2012 season. They saved some of the best until last: Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel and Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen tackled the same theme within twenty-four hours, diving below the waves for inspiration but to stunningly different and utterly spectacular effect, while Marc Jacobs upped the pretty for his latest (and perhaps greatest) Louis Vuitton collection. It's been a merry-go-round - literally manifested in Marc's spectacular Vuitton set - but read through our reports and view images uploaded live by the NowFashion.com team to experience the new season anew. From Proenza Schouler's all-American road-trip through Mary Katrantzou's flower power, Giles' black (and red, and white) swans and a car-crash of sweetness at Prada, see next season right here, right now. COMING UP
OBJECT FETISH 2011
Object Fetish trains obsessive attention onto fashion's latest not-so-obscure objects of desire, examining some of the key pieces from the international collections for 2011. Showcased in the glittering confines of Selfridges department store, 2011's finest finery is metaphorically unpicked through film and text, laying bare the underlying themes and motivations behind our current sartorial fixations. Coming up next week is our second piece of Object Fetish 2011
COMING UP
IN FASHION, SUZY MENKES
Just before the Spring/Summer 2012 round of International Collections, the International Herald Tribune's Suzy Menkes joined Fashion Director Alexander Fury as the latest subject of our In Fashion series. As one of its most widely respected authorities, Menkes came to share with us the experiences of a life spent at fashion's forefront. Streamed live and soon available to view, the film is an insight into one of the industry's most agile and inquisitive minds.

UNION, 2010

"Union", an delicate portrayal of an intimate connection, creates a splendid vignette of fleeting memory. By combining common mediums with gesture and form, Diem Chau is able to exhibit a manner of storytelling, emphasizing the value of unification through human similarities and culture. A soft embroidery upon sheer fabric overlays a hand-painted porcelain cup, each medium balancing each other effectively, whilst contributing to the egalitarian, yet minimalist theme.

Union by Diem Chau is on view as part of The Cafe exhibition at SHOWstudio SHOP, 1-9 Bruton Place until 5th November.

FASHION DJS
Appearing Venus-like from a shell at Karl Lagerfeld's latest submarine Chanel collection, Florence Welch is also one of the myriad participants of Fashion DJs, a 2008 collaboration with Swarovski providing a feast of audio-visual entertainment online and on the airwaves from the storied studios of Abbey Road. Our record of the 3-day (and one-off) event is a celebration of the intense and joyful relationship between music and fashion. [more]

Chanel Spring 2012: Karl's Purified Ocean World
The collection is like a wave of refracted light and iridescence - think currents of phosphorescence, wind on water, sea spray - horizontal pleats, hologram chains, pearl piercings....and shells. [more]
