RE-STREAM: IN FASHION, RUTH HOGBEN
Today at 16:00 GMT SHOWstudio.com will re-stream the unedited footage of the latest addition to our In Fashion interview series, an intimate glimpse into the work of fashion filmmaker Ruth Hogben. Having worked side by side with Nick Knight as his assistant from 2005 to February of 2009, Hogben has since become an indispensable figure in the evolution of fashion film in her own right. Based in London, she is a constant collaborator with creatives such as Gareth Pugh, Katie Shillingford, Matthew Stone and Francesca Burns. Awarded the 2009 Jury Prize at the A Shaded View on Fashion Film Festival, Hogben was also included in the ICA's Bird Eye View film festival in the same year. Be sure to tune in to this full length re-stream as the footage heads next to the cutting-room, with the edited footage launching later this month. [more]

CORINNE DAY
The late, great British photographer Corinne Day, who is famed for her raw and undisturbed fashion photography, features in our current exhibition To Bed. True to her established documentary style, both George in the Bath and Corinne at Home exemplify honest snapshots of human nature. A naked male asleep and immersed in water hangs beside a self-portrait of Corinne vulnerably laid out in her own unkempt bed. A moving and gritty insight into her world, these portraits present slumber as honest snapshots of pure exhaustion. [more]

READINGS, 2007

As the Paris A/W 2011 shows enter their final flurry in Paris we flash back to S/S 2008 to revisit Readings, a collaborative effort between pioneering fashion designer Hussein Chalayan, Nick Knight and Antony Hegarty, better known as the lead singer in Antony and the Johnsons. Taking place over two days in September 2007, Readings highlighted the dynamic between icons and their audience by asking SHOWstudio.com viewers to directly participate in the shaping of the musical accompaniment to the film. The resulting footage was then edited and screened as a showcase of Chalayan's Readings collection. Several collections have passed since its debut, but it remains a testament to the boundless talent of all involved.
