Well I would suggest investing in pieces that you can wear on more than just these occasions, Shift dresses for instance are a great buy as you can dress them up for these kind of events with some statement jewellery, a gorgeous clutch bag and some killer heels, plus you can also wear to work or out and about with flats and a denim jacket for a smart/casual look. The high street is full of shift dresses at the moment, so you have a large array of choice, here are so me of my favs from Oasis
